Location and Access
Aware Super Theatre has equitable and step-free access to the venue.
Car Parking and Transportation
ICC Sydney has two car park facilities located within the Exhibition Centre and Aware Super Theatre available to visitors to ICC Sydney Convention, Exhibition Centre and Aware Super Theatre, as well as for those visiting Darling Harbour. The closest car park to Aware Super Theatre is Car Park 2, located off Darling Drive.
ICC Sydney’s car parks have a total of 826 parking spaces including 11 disabled parking bays. Both car parks can be accessed via elevator, and operate 24 hours day, 7 days a week.
Wheelchair Access
Accessible toilets, ramps and lifts are available throughout our venue, and car parks can be accessed via elevator. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for hire free of charge from the Customer Service Desk on level two of Aware Super Theatre.
Our Customer Service staff are happy to arrange the of hire wheelchairs, however, we do encourage that the hirer bring a friend or companion to the event, as it is the responsibility of the hirer to manage the movement of the wheelchair during the event, and its return once the event has concluded.
Accessible Toilets
Wheelchair and ambulant accessible bathrooms are available on all levels of Aware Super Theatre.
Parenting Rooms
A wheelchair accessible parenting room can be found on Level 2 of Aware Super Theatre. The parenting room includes a feeding area, change table and food preparation area.
Vision Impairment
Braille is provided on room door signage and fixed directional signage throughout the venue.
Service Animals/Guide Dogs. Accredited service animals are always welcome inside the venue. We do ask that at all times the service animal is displaying their identification badge or medallion.
During the event, the service animal will rest in the seating area of the individual. For the comfort of both patron and animal, please advise of your requirement when booking to ensure appropriate seating is allocated.
If the service animal needs to be taken outside of the venue to relive itself, just notify one of our friendly team members who will direct you to the nearest outdoor area.
Assisted Hearing
Complimentary hearing augmentation devices (Hearing Loops) are available to guests at the Customer Service desk located on Level 2 of Aware Super Theatre.
In order to collect a hearing augmentation device, a form of photo identification must be supplied. We do ask that the device remains on the premises. It is the responsibility of the hirer to return the device to the Customer Service desk once the show has concluded.
Accessible Seating
Dedicated wheelchair positions are located on Level 2 and Level 4 of Aware Super Theatre. View the seating map here.
Depending on the stage configuration of the event, capacity limits may be in place on the floor for both reserved and general admission events. However, if there is availability in a suitable area we may be able to accommodate additional wheelchair seating.
If you require accessible seating, it is important to indicate your needs when purchasing tickets so that you can be properly allocated.
Companions
Access to a complimentary companion ticket is also available to government issued Companion Card holders. To receive a companion ticket, simply provide a copy of the valid Companion Card to Ticketek when booking. When you arrive at the venue on the event day, present your valid Companion Card to our box office who will give you a companion ticket.
