Each January Sydney Festival transforms our city, presenting a summer festival of art, music, dance, theatre and immersive experiences. We are proud of our long history of commissioning ground-breaking new Australian art.

Marketing Coordinator (multiple positions)
Sydney Festival is recruiting multiple Marketing Coordinator positions to join the Marketing Team and support Campaign, Digital and Content
The Marketing Coordinator is a key player in the planning and implementation of Sydney Festival’s marketing campaigns with core responsibilities around advertising, media partners and promotional campaigns.
Each position forms an integral part of Sydney Festival’s marketing team, responsible for the ongoing management of the integrity of the Festival brand; development of the Festival profile as well as generating box office income. This is achieved through an overarching integrated communications campaign as well as targeted campaigns for individual events, productions and strands. The department also delivers marketing benefits to sponsors.
We are looking for:
• Demonstrated experience in marketing campaign delivery, preferably within the arts industry.
• Experience in the development of innovative, effective and targeted marketing promotions.
• Great communication skills (written and oral), attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Strong customer focus in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

Campaign Manager
Sydney Festival is looking for a Campaign Manager to join the Marketing Team.
The Campaign Manager is responsible for planning and implementing integrated campaigns across digital platforms, traditional media, print and promotions, in collaboration with the Marketing Director.
The position forms an integral part of Sydney Festival’s marketing team, responsible for delivering innovative campaigns that are customer centric, sales focused and engage target audiences across paid, owned and earned media. The department delivers campaigns that have high visibility while strengthening Sydney Festival’s brand and international reputation as Sydney’s premier arts festival.
We are looking for:
• Marketing Tertiary qualifications and previous marketing experience.
• Proven success in the implementation of strategic marketing campaigns that are customer focused and deliver commercial targets, preferably within the arts industry.
• Experience in managing agencies/internal design studios.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and oral), attention to detail and strong time management skills.
• Strong customer focus in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

Marketing & Social Media Specialist
Sydney Festival is looking for a Marketing & Social Media Specialist to join the Marketing Team.
The Marketing & Social Media Specialist is a key player in the planning and implementation of the overall digital marketing and promotional campaigns for Sydney Festival.
This position manages Sydney Festival’s Social Media accounts across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and YouTube. The Marketing & Social Media Specialist also assists with the delivery of the marketing campaign across digital platforms, paid media and promotions, in consultation with the Digital Marketing Manager, Campaign Manager and Marketing Director.
We are looking for:
• Demonstrated experience managing corporate Social Media accounts including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and YouTube
• Demonstrated track record for cost effectively growing brand communities and digital marketing campaign delivery
• Knowledge of digital marketing trends, content marketing and the Australian cultural sector
• Very strong copywriting skills and understanding of visual design principles
• Experience in arts, music, culture or entertainment industries highly regarded.
• Experience with livestreaming via social channels and digital content highly regarded.

Media Advisor
Permanent, ongoing role
Sydney Festival is seeking an experienced communications and PR practitioner for the role of Media Advisor.
The Media Advisor plans, develops and implements communications strategies (including digital). These serve to promote Sydney Festival as a high-quality arts event with cultural significance and major tourist desirability and make a significant contribution to the delivery of the Festival’s overarching strategic objectives.
Strategic direction for campaigns is agreed with the Marketing Director and Festival Director. The Media Advisor manages the delivery of publicity campaigns, develops and executes messaging and manages relationships with media, artists and relevant stakeholders including tourism bodies.
We are looking for:
• Experienced communications and PR practitioner with a proven record of accomplishment in publicity and communications management.
• A strong record of high-impact campaigns and strategies delivered through an extensive network of media contacts. Demonstrated experience within the arts industry and/or Festival context an advantage.
• Excellent writing and editing skills – ability to translate nuanced themes into impactful, engaging messages.
• A demonstrated knowledge of the trends, initiatives and framework of the local, national and international performing arts and tourism industries.
• Thorough knowledge of media practices and trends across all current and emerging mediums, including social media and the digital landscape with experience amplifying campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
• Strong customer focus in dealing with media, internal and external stakeholders.
• A creative problem solver with demonstrated flexibility and creativity in successfully managing media issues.
