It’s been a while – 65 million years, actually – since Sydney echoed to the calls and footsteps of dinosaurs. Now, thanks to Erth, Sydney’s world-famous dino-recreationists, it’s like they never left.   

There’s nothing like a good bit of lawn for a dinosaur to stretch its legs and do all the things a dinosaur’s gotta do. Made to spark feelings of wonder, Erth’s Prehistoric Picnic sends Parramatta Park back to the wilderness of a distant era. A delight for the whole family, all you have to do is pack a picnic, practise your dino-voice and prepare to get very close to your favourite ancient creatures – including, for the first time, the newest members of Erth’s prehistoric menagerie, the towering, three-metre-tall Thunderbirds!

Parramatta Park is an accessible venue. For the latest information and updates please visit their website here. The picnic and show takes place on grass, visitors will need to navigate some grassy and slightly sloped surfaces to access the seating area. Please see our friendly staff onsite for assistance. 

Accessible parking is available at the entrance to the picnic site, with a 15-metre travel across grass to the performance space. A second entrance to the space has a travel distance of approximately a 50-metres across grass from the footpath. Please see our friendly volunteers in purple shirts for directions on arrival. An accessible toilet is also available at the precinct, this can be accessed on arrival from the footpath or is a 30-metre travel across grass from the seating area.
